02.14.2007: Kroeschell to Support the 26th Annual MS Bike Tour

Chicago, IL February 14th, 2007—Kroeschell, Inc. today announced that the company will once again participate in the 2007 MS Bike Tour.  Kroeschell will field a cycling team and manage the official Lunch Stop.  Bikers, rest stop volunteers and donors are invited to join Kroeschell support a worthy cause.

In Illinois alone, over 18,000 people suffer from multiple sclerosis — a chronic disease affecting the body’s central nervous system. Every year, the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society enlists thousands of bikers, volunteers and donors to help them through the 2007 MS Bike Tour. As the chapter celebrates the 26th anniversary of this popular event June 24-25, over 2,000 bikers are expected to cycle through 175 miles of Illinois back roads and byways. Team Kroeschell will be riding with them again this year to help support the fight against a crippling disease.

“Kroeschell is committed to giving back in the local community, and events like this lend special meaning for everyone involved,” says Ed Swietek, president of Kroeschell, Inc.  “Together with our families and friends, Kroeschell employees are not just giving, we’re doing, and that makes everything mean more.  And while we’re at it, we have a great time.”

They’re not alone in their efforts. Many of Kroeschell’s customers and vendors are also taking part in the event, and donating funds to help support the cause. To thank them for their involvement, Kroeschell will emblazon their logos on the official Team Kroeschell banner at the Kroeschell rest stop. “We’re honored to have so many of our customers and vendors standing together with us for this cause,” says Swietek. “They’re really part of the extended Kroeschell family, and we’re glad to have them on our team.”

According to event organizers, there’s still time to get involved. Riders can join Team Kroeschell online and donations are always welcome. Team Kroeschell is raising funds to support research and other services through this major fundraising event.
