01.09.2008: Kroeschell Consolidates Operations to Prepare for the Next Century of Growth
Arlington Heights, IL, January, 2008 — Kroeschell, Inc., announced today that the company will move its headquarters and the majority of its operations to nearby Arlington Heights in January, 2008. The move will merge Kroeschell’s downtown Chicago office, located on Ontario Street, and the warehouse operation in Waukegan, Illinois at a new state-of-the-art facility.
With more than 125 years in America’s Second City, it became apparent to Kroeschell that customers can be served better with all operations under a single roof. “We’re tremendously proud of our Chicago heritage, but today we serve a growing national client base with a wide range of mechanical and electrical engineering needs. Providing the absolute best service to our customers is something that’s become increasingly difficult to do from two separate locations,” said Edward A. Swietek, president of Kroeschell,Inc.
The company’s client list reads like a who’s who of Chicago’s greatest landmarks — from the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower, to Marshall Field’s and the University of Chicago Hospitals. However, in recent years the Kroeschell client roster has expanded outside of the city limits, and the new facility’s design will enhance project delivery. “Our new location in Arlington Heights is a state-of-the-art facility and provides considerably more space, not just for employees, but also for on-site fabrication and warehouse storage, which is critical in helping our clients complete major projects on time and on budget,” Swietek added.
A recent project in Arizona is an example of how expanded fabrication facilities will enhance future customer service. In order to complete a major boiler installation for Luke Air Force Base with minimal project downtime, Kroeschell constructed the boiler and pump system in Waukegan, shipping the assembled units to the site for installation. “By doing that, we eliminated downtime, significantly enhanced quality control and lowered costs, giving our customer better overall results,” explains Swietek. “Now that our operations will be centered in one location, we can prepare for the next century of growth, building on our long history of innovation and customer service and finding new ways to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
