05.28.2008: Kroeschell to Support the 27th Annual MS Bike Tour
Arlington Heights, IL, May 28, 2008— Kroeschell, Inc. announced that the company will once again participate in the MS Bike Tour. Kroeschell will field a cycling team and manage the official finish line event. Bikers, rest stop volunteers and donors are invited to join Kroeschell at the finish line to support a worthy cause.
Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, adding to the growing numbers of more than 400,000 people affected in the U.S. and 2.5 million worldwide. The Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is sponsoring one of 100 unique rides across the nation. The chapter enlists thousands of bikers, volunteers and donors to participate and help make the race a success. The 175 mile ride through Illinois’s scenic farmlands will take place June 21-22 with over 2,500 bikers expected to participate. Team Kroeschell will be among the teams riding again this year and additional Kroeschell volunteers waiting at the finish line in support of this debilitating disease.
“Kroeschell is committed to giving back in the local community, and events like this lend special meaning for everyone involved,” says Ed Swietek, president of Kroeschell, Inc. “Together with our families and friends, Kroeschell employees are not just giving, we’re doing, and that makes everything mean more. And while we’re at it, we have a great time.”
As they team together in business, many of Kroeschell’s customers and vendors are teaming with Kroeschell and taking part in the event by donating funds to help support the cause. To thank them for their involvement, Kroeschell will emblazon their logos on the official Team Kroeschell banner at the Kroeschell finish line event. “We’re honored to have so many of our customers and vendors standing together with us for this cause,” says Swietek. “They’re really part of the extended Kroeschell family and we’re glad to have them on our team.”
According to event organizers, there’s still time to get involved. Riders can join Team Kroeschell online and donations are always welcome. Team Kroeschell is raising funds to support research and other services through this major fundraising event.
