Sid was in the United States Naval Reserve from 1962 thru 1970, and attained the Rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade.
Sid began performing legal services for Kroeschell immediately after becoming an attorney. His father had been representing Kroeschell since the middle 1930’s. He began attending Board Meetings of Kroeschell as General Counsel in the late 1960’s and has acted in that capacity since then. His responsibilities with Kroeschell have continuously involved the oversight and management of legal activities, as well as participation with, and assistance to, the chief financial officer. He went from pure “outside counsel” to a part-time employee of Kroeschell in 1990, and is currently a Vice President and Assistant Secretary.
In addition to his role as General Counsel, Sid directly participated in the formation of the Kroeschell ESOP in 1987, and the creation of Ontario Indemnity Group SPC, the Company’s Captive Insurance Company in Grand Cayman. He incorporated, and is the Managing Member of the 3206 Kennicott LLC. He also has participated in the structuring of the smooth transition of four different Owner/Management groups since he began in 1965, including changing the management structure from Board Managed to Executive Committee Managed.
